Beach Posts Painting Video

beach tree painting video
Watch how to create a sunny little beach painting from start to finish! I'm showing you my art creation process using acrylic paint on paper.

This is a time-lapse painting of one of my small original beach tree landscapes. This inspiration for the scene was the lake where I live. I love the beach, and with this painting I get to share a view of a sunny summer day at the beach, to be enjoyed any time of the year. One thing that attracted me to paint this scene is the interesting shadows cast by the tree and the posts... and of course the lovely blue water and rolling white waves. This painting was part of my Petite Paper Landscapes Collection.

This artwork was created using acrylic paint on watercolor paper. I start with an orange base as it makes the colors I put on top brighter, plus and any gaps between strokes will show orange instead of white. This is how I usually start all my acrylic paintings. If you have any questions about my process or materials be sure to contact me

Enjoy the journey as I create this painting, and I hope you learn something new about making art and how to paint a landscape!!! Cheers, Cathy : )
