Rolling Waves Beach, Original Painting 8x8

Rolling Waves Beach, Original Painting 8x8

Rolling Waves Beach - Original Painting

'Rolling Waves Beach' is from the 'Lake Moods Collection' and is a one-of-a-kind original artwork.

The waves in this painting roll in from far the distance, changing colors from denim blue to turquoise as it mixes with the golden sand and cresting to end in crashing froth of white foam. The cyclical motion of the waves is hypnotic. I've spent many an hour starring at the waves, sometimes thinking, sometimes just looking. It's amazing how you can spend time at the beach just being, it's like a show on repeat that never ends.

I tried to capture the feeling of the waves coming in layers washing in and out. This is a lovely meditative piece.

Lake Moods Collection - Capturing the ever changing moods of water and sky... I currently have artwork in galleries on both Lake Erie and Lake Huron. As a result, I've been spending time photographing and enjoying both these wonderful lakes views. I couldn't help but notice the variety of moods that each lake embodies... and just how quickly they change!

“At the beach, life is different. Time doesn't move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides and follow the sun.”– Sandy Gingras
