'Hetty Boathouse View' from the "Lakeside Portals Collection'. This the view we pass by as we go for a walk to the beach. This boathouse is located at the dead end of Hetty street on the creek next to the sailing club. The large light blue/green boathouse is recognizable to all the locals.

The shadows on the building was what captured my interest with this view as well as the reflections and the wonderful view of a multitude of colorful trees.

Lakeside Portals - When creating this collection of artwork I was inspired by the energy, excitement, lines, and vibe that all these lakeside views embody. These paintings are only loosely beholden to my photo reference. My goal is to capture the impression these locals have on me, then to convey that using my sense of color and line to reimagine the underlying spirit of these places.
