'Harborfront Shadows' from the "Lakeside Portals Collection'. The view is taken from the view of the harbor-way in Port. This painting changed quite a few times and is quite different from the original view that I photographed as inspo. I moved the trees around from the original concept. I added some directional movement to the clouds and waves as well as the tree and grasses in the forefront.

Lakeside Portals - When creating this collection of artwork I was inspired by the energy, excitement, lines, and vibe that all these lakeside views embody. These paintings are only loosely beholden to my photo reference. My goal is to capture the impression these locals have on me, then to convey that using my sense of color and line to reimagine the underlying spirit of these places.
