'Erie Rest Clouds' is from the 'Lake Moods Collection' and is a one-of-a-kind original artwork.
We often get this amazing cloudy skies in Port as a weather system moves through. I was able to capture this one and all the drama with the light and dark.
I captured a step by step of this painting so you could see how it goes from a sketch on an orange toned canvas, through the various layers of paint as I find my way.
Lake Moods Collection - Capturing the ever changing moods of water and sky... I currently have artwork in galleries on both Lake Erie and Lake Huron. As a result, I've been spending time photographing and enjoying both these wonderful lakes views. I couldn't help but notice the variety of moods that each lake embodies... and just how quickly they change!
