Day 9/31 - 'Yellow Dahlia', I wasn't sure if this flower was, so had to look it up. This a single Dahlia, and I love the bright sunny yellow color of this one!! The Dahlias I'm used to seeing are almost like balls of petals, but I like the simplicity of this one. As a kid if you drew a flower it probably looked a bit like this one lol. Of course I made this flower more detailed with shading and crosshatching etc. but the basics are still there... just a simple sunny flower. Enjoy!!!

PROCESS: Each of the artworks will start as a pencil/ink drawing and then finish with watercolor.
