DAY 30/30 'Wild Thistles', Last day of my 30 days fall plein air painting series!!! By the end of October the wild flowers are all waning. I did find a bit of wild purple thistles and paired it with sumac & goldenrod for a burst of background color. I just love yellow and purple together!!!
I played up the thistle part with little white accents, it adds to the thistle feel, but also I really like the repeated graphic element. When creating each of these paintings I tried to figure out a new or interesting way to convey in a painting what I was seeing. Enjoy!!!
