DAY 12/30 'Wild Flowers'-

I gathered wildflowers for this painting from the overgrown area beside the laneway. These are mostly considered weeds but I think they're so lovely and delicate.

This painting is a bit of a different style for me, but I followed the subject and the paint and it lead me to this. The white flowers are very tiny in real life, so they mostly read as little white star shape sparkles. I love the contrast with the yellow and then the wood post coming through the background. I wanted to take these wee small flowers and make them feel more monumental. It think this is such a joyful painting, I hope you do too, enjoy!!
