I'm sharing the inspo photo for this one so you can see the point of departure and how I interpreted and added my creative filter to the final painting.

I like to create paintings based on where I want to be or see, then I make it so with paint. This painting is one of the lifeguard stands on the main beach here in Port. I made it to share a lovely beach view with those that need a beach view.

Lakeside Portals - When creating this collection of artwork I was inspired by the energy, excitement, lines, and vibe that all these lakeside views embody. These paintings are only loosely beholden to my photo reference. My goal is to capture the impression these locals have on me, then to convey that using my sense of color and line to reimagine the underlying spirit of these places.
