Tulips painting 1 of 2

tulips paintings flat lay

Who else feels like some flowers need to happen soon! Maybe that's why flowers are the traditional gift of Valentine's day. It's coming up on mid February, and I'm kinda feeling like some bright floral colors are needed to get through the rest of the winter.

Here in Canada the current predominate landscape colors are white, gray, beige and blue. Which are all very nice, but limited... looking out and seeing some bold reds and yellows would really hit the spot. I'd also love to see something blooming!

The interesting thing about having such extreme seasons is that the contrast really makes you appreciate each one more. The bright colors of spring wouldn't seem like such a treasure had you not just endured many months of white.

The great part about being an artist is that you can paint what you crave... strangely it really does help satisfy yearnings (I've also painted many desserts lol...but then I ate them... just kidding). For those of you who aren't artists, you can actually share in an artist's creative panacea, since the result is always a work of art! Moving forward I could just label all my paintings "Relic of My Heart's Desire" 1 ,2, 3... and so on, since that's what many of my paintings are.

If your heart's desire is in keeping with mine then come by my online studio. One of my paintings might just help with your yearning to see something bright, colorful and joyful, to help relieve stress or just make you happy!

This tulip art in this post is 1 of 2 paired paintings (but they can be bought together or separate).
