How To Paint a Landscape in Acrylic, Painting Timelapse Stormy Sky
See how to create a painting of a stormy sky over country fields landscape... from start to finish! I'm showing my art creation process using acrylic paint on paper.I'm excited to share this original painting, it was inspired by a photo I took while out driving. I love it when my husband drives since I get to enjoy taking photos out the window as we go. The weather on this drive was very interesting with these lovely dark moody clouds over bright yellow fields. This painting was part of my Petite Paper Landscapes Collection.
This artwork was created using acrylic paint on watercolor paper. I start with an orange base as it makes the colors I put on top brighter, plus and any gaps between strokes will show orange instead of white. This is how I usually start all my acrylic paintings.
