I don't often paint winter scenes, but I do so enjoy the quiet stillness of a winter night, it's magical. Winter came late this year and according to the groundhog, we'll be in for an early spring, if you believe that sort of thing...which I sort of do (rodents telling the weather, it's a thing!). .
So I'm sharing this painting to remind you to appreciate the magical fresh beauty that comes with new-fallen snow. Savor the muffled hush of a deep layer of snow blanketing the landscape and our humble abodes, as everyone stays tucked-in wearing their thickest sweaters and warming hands by the fire (when I come downstairs from my studio I really do warm my hands by the fire lol). Enjoy the cozy that is February!!! .
