How to Draw this Flower With a Pencil, Step by Step!
Watch and learn how to draw a simple flower drawing. This chicory flowers botanical sketch was created using pencil on paper! In this video I'll show you the time-lapse drawing process from start to finish!
This was a fairly quick drawing. I apologize if it looks a bit blurry, I had the tripod on the same table I was using to draw and the motion of my hand jiggled the table (I learn something new every day lol!).
The time stamps shows the various stages from lightly sketching where all the elements are, followed by a more firm outline. Once I have the outline set, I start shading in the darker areas. Part way through I switched from an HB pencil to a softer 8B to get some darker marks. To finish it off I blended it a firm bristle brush, and then used an eraser to re-establish the highlights.
