How To Paint a Country Road View In Acrylic | Painting Timelapse
See how to create a quick little painting of a country road landscape from start to finish! I'm showing my art creation process using acrylic paint on paper.
I'm excited to share the process for this little original painting, it was inspired by a photo I took driving home. I'm a fan of having roads in paintings, they're a great way to lead the viewer into picture. This was a quick and loosely painted little piece but I like the vibe, it's just a sweet happy shot of a scene along the road. This piece was part of my Petit Paper Landscape Collection
This artwork is a 5"x7" created using acrylic paint on watercolor paper. I start with an orange base as it makes the colors I put on top brighter, plus and any gaps between strokes will show orange instead of white. This is how I usually start all my acrylic paintings.
My colors for this painting are... Cadmium Red Medium, Cadmium Orange, Red Oxide, Light Green Permanent, Brilliant Yellow Green, Dioxazine Purple, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Raw Sienna, Burnt Umber, White and Black.
If you have any questions about my process or materials be sure to contact me!
Enjoy the journey as I create this sweet little painting, and I hope you learn something new about making art and how to paint a landscape!!!
Cheers, Cathy : )
