I stopped by the beach on my way to the post office to send out some artwork. After a long winter, the month of May at the beach on lake Erie is so exciting, plus the weather this week has been so lovely and warm!! It reminded me of this painting I created last summer for my Horizons collection of Port Stanley paintings.
I'm a beach person, always have been, always will be, which is fortunate considering I live in a beach town lol. I love that I can see the lake whenever I want, but I don't always take advantage of that perk as much as I should, so I like to do these little jaunts to the shoreline as I go about my everyday business.
I was thinking that come June I would like to create a collection of plein-air (in situ) beach paintings. I imagine just grabbing my bike and some art supplies and heading to the beach to create some art.
