'Harbor Garden Colors' from the "Lakeside Portals Collection'. This painting has a lovely vibe, even though the inspo is a lake Erie in Canada, it has a tropical feel with all the bright colors. This is the garden by the lift bridge here in Port with a view out towards the harbor pier gateway and out to the lake. Just another tranquil July day in paradise. The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming and a sailboat is returning from a wonderful day spent on the lake. The fishing tugs are docked at the fish market unloading the catch of the day. 

I'm sharing the inspo photo for this one so you can see the point of departure and how I interpreted and added my creative filter to the final painting.

Lakeside Portals - When creating this collection of artwork I was inspired by the energy, excitement, lines, and vibe that all these lakeside views embody. These paintings are only loosely beholden to my photo reference. My goal is to capture the impression these locals have on me, then to convey that using my sense of color and line to reimagine the underlying spirit of these places.
