I'm delighted to share that this vibrant poppy painting recently sold!!!. I was putting together some bright colorful flower paintings that I was planning to display at the library here in port. I had them all lined up in a row, when one of my collectors came by and saw this piece and felt an immediate connection.
I love when that happens, I feel like every painting has it's person. Sometimes it happens quickly, I paint it and then it gets scooped up... and sometimes I can hold on to a painting for a while before the right eyes see it.
The key is that folks have to be able to see my art to fall in love with it. My job as the artist is to make sure that I share all my art everywhere, so everyone who might be interested gets a chance to see it and know that it's available.
