Day 11/31 -'Clematis' These are very showy climbing flowers. I remember my mom loved having them in her garden and we created a special lattice just so they could climb up the side of the house. These blooms were harder to paint than I thought they would be. The flower has a very distinctive shape that almost seems unreal, making it hard to convincingly render them... I almost gave up part way through but I'm glad I persevered. I love how the painting turned out, it's very dynamic!
