On Creating Daily...

I've kicked off the last few years by embarking on daily art creation challenge that generally las about a month. I feel like this sets the tone for the rest of the year.

For 2026 I think my daily art process will involve objects around my home and new art supplies like gouache and mixed media. I'm not sure what else to impose on this so I'll just say I'll start and we'll see what happens.

I've spent years using acrylic paint. This month I'm trying a few different mixed mediums and methods. Experimentation keeps creativity alive and moving forward.

Daily Challenge..

As an artist, it can sometimes be a challenge to create daily. One often feels like they have to be in the mood or inspired. Having a daily practice takes those excuses away and makes creating more a case of just show up and it will come... which it totally does lol.

‘Create’ is such a vague verb, I feel like it welcomes any effort to bring something into existence… What would a daily ‘create’ look like for you?
