Acrylic Painting Timelapse | How To Paint a Fun Pumpkin Farm Landscape
How to paint a folk inspired country pumpkin landscape. The art process from start to finish, using acrylic paint on canvas.
This time-lapse video shows how I painted a small charming country pumpkin landscape. This painting is an 8"x10" that sold a few years ago, but enjoyed creating this colorful piece, it has a cheerful folk art style that celebrates a rural view. The imagery in this painting is from my imagination, so no source material was references.
You might notice that part way through the painting seems to turn upside-down and then right-side up... often when I'm painting I'll turn the canvas around so I can see the painting in a new way. Then I turn it right side up to finish off. It seems odd I know, but the process has always works for me lol.
I start with an orange base as it makes the colors I put on top brighter, plus and any gaps between strokes will show orange instead of white. This is how I usually start all my acrylic paintings. If you have any questions about my process or materials be sure to ask in the comments!
Enjoy the journey as I create this painting, and I hope you learn something new about making art and how to paint a landscape!!! Cheers, Cathy : )
